Lap Band :In Lap banding The surgeon places a a silicone band, which can be adjusted by addition or removal of saline through a port placed just under the skin around the upper part of your stomach to create a small pouch to hold food. The band limits the amount of food you can eat by making you feel full after eating small amounts of food. Sleeve gastrectomy : Patients lose between 50 to 70 percent of excess body weight in two years removes 70% of the stomach where the hunger hormone ghrelin is produced. That is why it is also very helpful in cases of super obese patients.

Best for super obese individuals with BMI over 45,gastric bypass is one of the best procedures for long-term weight loss and is the most expensive procedure among the bariatric surgeries but duodenal switch surgery and some revision procedures are also the very expensive.
